Regional Qualifiers

What is the Regional Skills and Leadership Conference?

The Regional Skills and Leadership Conference is a set of 8 mini-competitive conferences located by area or region. (See Region Map)  Regional Skills and Leadership Conferences allow students to compete on a smaller scale, while still experiencing the rigor of larger competitive conference such as State Leadership and Skills Conference and National Leadership and Skills Conference.

 

Why Should My School attend a Regional Skills and Leadership Conference?

There are many reasons why participation at Regional Skills and Leadership Conferences are  positive experiences for you and your students.  Here are frequently cited reasons from your colleagues:

  • Regional Skills and Leadership Conferences allow my students to experience competition on a smaller scale.

  • Regional Skills and Leadership Conferences allow me to see my student compete and choose who should move on to State Leadership and Skills Conference.

  • Regional Skills and Leadership Conference lets my younger or new students get their feet wet  in a competitive environment.

 

What competitive contests are offered at the Regional Skills and Leadership Conference?

Every region differs in what is offered, so the best practice is to go to the region page on the website and look at the contest list.  All regions offer the fifteen Regional Qualifier contests.

There are 15 contests that a student must qualify at the regional level in order to advance to state:
